FEMA data indicates that 43% OF SMALL BUSINESSES affected by a natural disaster never reopen.

A further 29% OF SMALL BUSINESSES close within 2 years of a natural disaster.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM T-SHIRT SALES WILL BE DONATED TO LOCAL BUSINESSES TO HELP THEM RECOVER AND REBUILD.

Many of the estimated 14,500 workers in the travel and hospitality sector have lost their homes and jobs. Even after FEMA leaves, businesses will still be trying to recover not only from the hurricane damage but from lost revenue and lost employees, who have moved to other cities in search of work.

In 2023 20% of Buncombe County's total annual economy was from tourism. Leaf Season, when fall changes the beautiful mountain trees into an kaleidoscope of colors, is when tourism peaks in Western North Carolina and local businesses traditionally earn most of their revenue. So this is a double jeopardy situation for local business who have lost both their physical storefronts and staff and also their biggest source of income.
